The Example of the Early Church
The New Testament records that the early church “devoted themselves to the apostle’s doctrine and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers” (Acts 2:42). They gathered on the first day of the week to break bread (Acts 20:7; 1 Cor.16:2). We, also gather every Sunday morning to worship and partake in the Lord’s Table, remembering Christ.
Corporate Worship Led by the Spirit
We affirm the priesthood of all believers (1 Pet.2:5) and led by the Spirit. Any brother in the Lord, as led by the Spirit, may share an exhortation, suggest a hymn, or offer prayers. Following this, we partake of the Lord’s Table.
Participation in the Lord’s Table
The Lord’s Table is open to born-again believers who have obeyed the Lord’s call for baptism by immersion. Visitors from other assemblies are welcome to express introduce themselves and their intent to partake. If you are not a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ or are uncertain about your standing with Him, we kindly request that you refrain from partaking in the Lord’s Supper and join us as an observer.
Announcements and Corporate Prayer
After the Lord’s Table, announcements are made, followed by corporate prayer led by a brother in the Spirit and then the sermon. In-person gatherings also include a collection for supporting full-time ministers and ministry.
Sermon and Benediction
A brother recognized by the assembly for his gift in expounding Scripture shares a sermon, preaching from the Word of God. Worship concludes with a prayer or benediction by any Spirit-led brother.
Guidelines for Public Teaching in the Assembly
Public teaching is limited to brothers. Women are free to pray and share knowledge outside the primary assembly gathering.
Orderly Worship for God’s Glory
Our aim is to conduct all things decently and in order (1 Cor.14:40) so that, with one mind and one voice, we glorify God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ (Rom.15:6) by the Spirit’s enabling (Eph.2:18).
